This weekend SeaFair — the mega-yacht-cum-art fair — will be making a stop in Greenwich, Connecticut.
From Friday through Monday, collectors can step aboard the floating art venue, christened the "Grand Luxe," to view Art Greenwich. The space was specially designed to provide an intimate setting featuring art, sculpture, and jewelry from 28 international galleries and dealers. The list of wares is broader than that of the typical fair.
While there is work by blue-chip modern and contemporary artists like Andy Warhol, Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, Roy Lichtenstein, and Salvador Dali for sale on board, but there will also be 50 million-year-old fossils, 17th-century painting, 20th-century French and American objets d'art, and 20th-century period jewelry designed by Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, and Yves St. Laurent.
The yacht comes to Greenwich after a successful show in Newport earlier this year.
